Why I built The Curvy Cart

I've worn a size 2XL since my early twenties. For years, online shopping for me meant one thing: disappointment. A kurta I loved wouldn't ship above XL. A size chart that said "fits up to 44 inches bust" but had no measurement table to verify. Reviews from straight-size customers saying "runs big" when the garment barely zipped for me.

"I got tired of buying things on hope. I wanted reviews written by someone who actually wore the same sizes I did."

The Curvy Cart started as a spreadsheet. I'd buy clothes online, measure them myself, note how they actually fitted across the bust, waist and hips, and share my notes with friends. That spreadsheet became this website.

Today, every product featured here is personally researched — I read the actual customer reviews, cross-reference the measurements, and check whether a brand's XL matches their stated size chart. If a product stops at XL, it doesn't appear here. If the fabric is going to be uncomfortable in Indian summer heat, I say so.

Today I share finds from Indian marketplaces such as Meesho. We take part in affiliate programs, which means we may earn a commission when you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you. That is what keeps the site free to use. I never recommend a product I wouldn't buy myself or gift to a friend.

Our editorial standards

Every product recommendation on this site goes through the same process. We don't publish product listings — we publish researched reviews with a real opinion at the end.

Research first
We start by studying the actual product measurements, fabric composition and available sizes. A product that doesn't go above XL is immediately ruled out.

Read real reviews
We read through customer reviews specifically from plus-size buyers — looking for patterns in how the garment fits across bust, waist, hips and length.

Honest verdict
Every article ends with a clear recommendation: buy, skip, or size up. We include honest cons. If a product has a sizing problem, we say exactly that.

Every single product here is available in XL and above. No exceptions. No token "also available in larger sizes" footnotes for products that stop at L.
